Coffee analysis is performed by employing a variety of testing and analysis protocols: sensorial, chemical, and physical. You might decide to perform one test, or a whole series of the tests we provide. Results are evaluated against a set of standards, existing, or developed specifically to meet your defined needs.

We strongly urge coffee producers and retailers to develop an ongoing coffee analysis program.

Each analysis is only a snapshot of one particular batch of coffee on that particular day. In order to maintain consistent quality, both in green coffee as well as roasted, packaged or not, or in extract form, it is critical to establish standards that are important to you, and then make sure that those standards are being met on a consistent basis.
